Something New!

I was allowed out on Sunday for being good, and went to the Autumn Quilt Festival at Malvern! I didn't take any pictures of the quilts as I forgot my camera. I made a few purchases, including a cup of tea and a slice of cake. That cost as much as 5 of my fat quarters!!
I couldn't resist the basket type bag, or the purple/lilacs fat quarters. I found some lightweight fusible wadding at a rather reasonable price too!!
I got the monkey fabric for my Cheeky Monkey grandson,,,no idea what I'll be doing with it yet!
I have also been busy making an Embroidery Folder,,,,,

I finished it off this morning with the little silver scissor charm!

A Day Out,,,

in Devizes.

A fantastic feat of engineering!!! And on the way home we stopped at Westbury,,,,
It was blowing a gale up on the hill, but managed to get a photo of the horse before I was blown away!!!

My Brother!

I would like to introduce you all to my Brother! He will be 3 years old in December.
He is an InnoVis 900, and I won him in a competition run in the Popular Patchwork Magazine! The only thing he doesn't do is make a cup of tea!

I had him do me some name labels for a friend. The top photo is him doing the labels handsfree, ie using the embroidery unit, and the lower one is just normal monogramming!!

Old Bags!!

I thought I'd show off some old bags, for those of you who haven't seen them before.
1st Bag
This 'Bow Tucks' bag was my very first bag I made, and I can't tell you what pattern it was,, cos I have lost it!
2nd Bag
This was from a pattern by Brenda Dean, The Oriental bag.

These next two were out of the Popular Patchwork magazine. September and October 2009.

The next two were made using 5" charm packs. The 1st one is a Charm Tote Bag, and the one under is a Big Bag Theory bag from an American magazine.
And the last one if from a pattern by Sunflower Corner Quilting.

All By My Self!!!

I had a go at making a smaller zippered pouch,,,, all by my self!
My Little Helper
As you can see, it is in the lovely stripey fabric. It will be used with my Tilda Lady bag!!
This week I have been knitting my scarf and it is growing rather quickly. I will post a photo when finished.
I would really love to win the lottery as work is getting in the way with my crafting time!!  XxX

Old and New 2

Tilda Bathing Lady Bag
I did the stitching of the lady earlier this year, but waited till I went to Spain to make the bag. I also made a zippered pouch to go with it. The first time of putting in a zip!
Bag with Pouch.
Margaret taught another friend and I how to do the zips, and once I made one pouch, I wanted to make another!
This was made a bit quicker than the first one, because I had one-to-one tuition from Margaret!!!
Batik Firecracker
Hand quilting detail
Hand quilted
This quilt has 29 different Batiks in it, and took me over two years to make it,, on and off! I hand quilted it and enjoyed the process!

Old and New!

Tilda Bear and Friends.
Bunny Hill BOM 2009

Close up.
Tilda was made in June, and her friends were made soon afterwards. The Bunny Hill quilt was a BOM run by Bunny Hill. I chose to make it in redwork.
A cushion
I made this last year, from a pattern that I got from a friend. I would put a link to her blog, but I can't remember how to do that at the moment.
Pin House
I took the pattern for this from a French magazine. I can't read ,write or speak the language,,, but there were plenty of pictures to follow!!!
The title Old and New is in reference to the fact that some of you have seen these items (old) and some of you have not (new).                                          XxX
